Sliding down the Memory Lane ..

Sliding down the memory lane

Echoes on the hall ways

Were ringing like endless chimes

The flowers from the centennial park

Withered but carved our story

On the bleachers.

Two years passed since we started

walked in here with the wrinkle on the sleeve

Hiding all the insecurities.

I could see many eyes flickering

Breathing flames and the gasps

That fogged up the glasses.

But the waves and smiles lit the room

Now the blues passed through the golden sky

And the rest is bathed in the after glow

Its excruciating,

Had to switch to the tiny screen and

the blue light

Wish we could keep on writing the

Pages we stopped halfway through.

Wish we could listen to the voices

That stormed the classroom walls

one more time.

Because it is the end of an era.

But I am leaving a book mark here

So that I could revist.

But you left us with a permanent mark

That glows in the dark.

There are no final good byes.

But now it is time to bid farewell.
