Will You Sing for Me...? - Amitha Anikuttan

 There was a song
 I used to sing

 The lyrics were short
As the ink had dried up.

 The tone was magical
As it flavoured life
With the wings of creativity.

 The rhythm of the song
Resonated with my heartbeat
It accompanied my breath
And filled it with soothing warmth.

 There was a song
I used to sing...
 From the one which
 I inhaled love and life
It had the scent of hope
It was invisible
But my eyes could dream
In the nowhere
As an elegant one.

 The seasons are raging
They are invading
The scent is caught by the winter
The elegance is burning in the summer
I'm afraid....
 The song will fade away
 With the forgottt lilies...
 Will you sing for me...?
