Carpe Diem... A poem by Amitha Anikuttan
Tomorrow is an illusion;
An ever eluding enchantment
That slips out of our hands,
wearing its slippery and glittering cloak.
Once when we reach it,
When we begin to scent victory,
By taking off the cloak,
The revelation of reality,
There is no tomorrow.
But there stands someone else
And that is - Today
with its lantern lighted
By the souls of YESTERDAY
that unwinds the veils
Woven by life's mystery.
So gear up your heart and mind
To fill the day with something worthy;
Let's carpe diem...
